​Working to the demanding specifications of the consulting engineers, Airflo have recently installed and commissioned a critical ventilation package for the duration of a mine remediation project on behalf of United Utilities.

The challenge was to deliver a high volume of air to the bottom of a 200m deep vertical shaft through a narrow duct.

Without compromising the required delivery criteria, Airflo have successfully minimised environmental impact.

Incorporating a responsive, on-demand drive system has optimised efficiencies and careful attention has been paid to sound attenuation both externally and through the air stream.
